General Guest Information
Overleaf Cottage Rentals are located on the central Oregon Coast, about 30 minutes south of Newport and just one mile north of downtown Yachats at 280 Overleaf Lodge Lane, Yachats, Oregon 97498. Just take any connecting highway from I-5 to the coast and head toward Yachats — no matter where you’re coming from, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular scenery along the way. Cottage guests check in at the front desk of Overleaf Lodge, located at 280 Overleaf Lodge Lane, Yachats, Oregon 97498 — just a short drive from the cottages. The lodge lobby is open 7:30 AM–9:00 PM daily. Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. If you expect to arrive after lobby hours, please call us during business hours on the day of your arrival at 541-547-4880 so we can arrange a late check-in for you.
Overleaf Cottage Rentals check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you’d like to request a late check-out, please speak with the front desk on the morning of your departure.
Overleaf Cottage guests are guaranteed check in by 4:00 PM. We cannot guarantee an early check-in time. If you would like to request a late check-out, please chat with our front desk on the morning of your departure. We do limit these requests to ensure we can have the cottages sparkling clean for our next arriving guests.
Yes, though all reservations must be made under the name of the guest who will be checking in, and a valid ID is required at arrival. If you wish to pay for another guest’s stay at an Overleaf Cottage Rental, please notify our staff. We can provide a credit card authorization form. We cannot accept credit card payment over the phone for security reasons.
To reserve an Overleaf Cottage Rental, you must be 18 years of age or older. We require all minors to be accompanied by an adult for our central Oregon Coast lodging.
All Overleaf Cottage Rentals require a one-night (room and tax) advance deposit to be made at the time of the reservation. The reservation will not be confirmed until the deposit is received.
All Overleaf Cottage reservations must be canceled 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date to receive a full refund of the advance deposit. If canceled less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded only if the cottage is re-booked for the entire period of the reservation.
Pets are not permitted at Overleaf Cottage Rentals. If evidence of pets occurs in your cottage during your stay, a $300 cleaning fee will be billed to your room. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly option nearby, our sister property The Fireside Motel offers pet-friendly accommodations, including the Love & Lighthouse Hideaway vacation rental.
No. All Overleaf Cottage Rentals are strictly smoke-free properties. If evidence of smoking of any kind (tobacco, vaping, marijuana, etc.) occurs in your cottage during your stay, a $300 cleaning fee will be billed to your room.
Absolutely! All of our cottages are family-friendly, and the natural surroundings of Overleaf Cottage Rentals — including nearby beach access and the 804 Trail — make for a great family adventure. Contact us to book your Oregon Coast family vacation rental!
Overleaf Cottage Rentals is a cashless property. We accept all major debit or credit cards. Please note that all reservations must be guaranteed with a valid debit or credit card at the time of booking. Full payment will be taken at check in.
No. There is no additional cleaning fee for Overleaf Cottage Rentals. Your rental rate covers everything. The exception to this policy is there is a $300 fee if there is any evidence in the cottage of pets or smoking of any kind.
No. Overleaf Cottage Rentals does not charge daily resort fees or parking fees.
Overleaf Cottage Rentals are managed by Overleaf Lodge & Spa, our sister property located just a short drive away. While the cottages offer a more residential, private experience, guests have access to the same friendly team and high level of service you’d expect from Overleaf Lodge.
As part of your stay, guests donate $1 per night to support research and education at the nearby Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve through the Cape Perpetua Collaborative. We are proud stewards of the Yachats area and committed to preserving the natural beauty that makes this place so special. You can opt out and decline this contribution if you wish.
If you feel an earthquake or if an official tsunami warning is issued, walk quickly up Diversity Drive directly across Hwy 101 from the Overleaf property. Do not pack. Do not drive. Go. See our evacuation route map.
The Cottages
To ensure your stay is as private and restful as possible, Overleaf Cottage Rentals does not provide daily housekeeping. However, we are happy to provide fresh towels or additional supplies upon request. For guests staying with us four days or longer, we provide a stay-over housekeeping service, which our team will help you schedule during your check-in for a time that is most convenient for you.
Yes! All of our vacation rental cottages feature a full kitchen, so you can cook and enjoy meals just as you would at home. Kitchens are fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
Most Overleaf Cottage Rentals feature cozy fireplaces — a perfect complement to cool Oregon Coast evenings. Several cottages have stone fireplaces indoors and some, like Umpqua Cottage, even have an outdoor stone fireplace on the patio.
Absolutely. Many Overleaf Cottage Rentals feature private patios, decks or outdoor areas where you can relax, gather with family and friends, or simply soak in the natural surroundings.
Each cottage has dedicated parking spots to accommodate one vehicle. If additional vehicle parking is needed, we offer free overflow parking at the Overleaf Lodge, just a short drive away.
All Overleaf Cottage Rentals are just a short walk to the rocky shoreline and the historic 804 Trail, which offers breathtaking, sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.
Our stunning rocky shoreline is perfect for watching powerful waves and exploring tide pools when you stay in an Overleaf Cottage Rental. If you’re looking for a sandy beach, you’ll find it just a short, half-mile walk north along the historic 804 Trail.
Amenities
Our vacation rental cottages are privately owned homes that offer the privacy and comfort of a residential experience. Each Overleaf Cottage Rental includes a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, outdoor space and all the furnishings you need for a comfortable stay. All linens and towels are provided.
Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is included with your Overleaf Cottage Rental. Whether you need to stay connected for work or just want to share those stunning ocean photos, you’re covered.
No. Breakfast is not included with Overleaf Cottage Rentals. However, with a full kitchen in every cottage, you’ll have everything you need to prepare your own meals.
We do not have a restaurant, but there are several wonderful dining options within a mile of our properties. Additionally, we offer picnic and gift packages featuring sensational Pacific Northwest snacks and specialty items (wine, glasses, mugs, bath bombs, roses, chocolates and more) that can be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance. You can also visit our guest pantry inside the Overleaf Lodge lobby, which includes an assortment of food and beverages for purchase, including snacks, frozen heat-and-eat entrees and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, and various travel necessities.
Our nearby sister properties each sell commemorative keepsakes. The Village Gift Gallery at The Fireside Motel carries a fun selection of souvenirs, locally made items and travel essentials. The Overleaf Lodge gift shop has a special collection of items, including T-shirts and hats, handcrafted jewelry, gourmet chocolates and more.
Yes, cottage guests can book spa services at the Overleaf Spa. Our comprehensive menu of professional services includes:
- Massages: We offer a variety of massage modalities and specialized body treatments tailored to your needs.
- Facials: Our aesthetic team provides high-quality facials using proven products to rejuvenate the skin.
- Spa Products: During your treatments, we use superior, environmentally conscious products from brands like Aveda, Repêchage, Keyano Aromatics and Oregon-made DANI Naturals.
We highly recommend booking your services at the same time you reserve your cottage, as our schedule fills up quickly. You can easily book your spa treatment online three months in advance or by calling us at 541-547-4885.
Yes! We provide four complimentary Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Overleaf Lodge for guest use. We also have two additional chargers at our sister property, The Fireside Motel, right next door. Please visit the front desk to receive an RFID key for access.
Yes! We have the Overleaf Event Center that can accommodate up to 50 guests and is an ideal venue for small wedding receptions, celebrations, business meetings or retreats. Tables and chairs are included in the rental. If you’re interested or have questions, please complete our Event Center Interest Form.
We would love to help you celebrate your special day! The Overleaf Event Center is a beautiful venue for small wedding receptions and celebrations for up to 50 guests. While we do not have an on-site restaurant, we can provide a list of wonderful local caterers to help you plan your menu.
