The word Umpqua has many possible meanings. The most accepted definition is “thunder water,” but it can also mean “dancing water” and “satisfied”. The name was given to a number of bands of the Athabaska-speaking Native Americans who lived at the Umpqua River drainage and its surroundings.

Umpqua Cottage is a secluded retreat among native foliage. You can cozy up to the stone fireplace indoors after a day spent at the ocean or celebrate with your friends and family on the secluded patio with an outdoor stone fireplace.

Overleaf Lodge & Spa amenities are not included with this rental, but a spa day pass is available for purchase from the spa website. Guests will receive a credit card authorization form to be completed within 24 hours to guarantee their online reservation. An advance deposit for one night, room and tax, is required at the time of reservation.
