Please note: The property to the north of the Tyee Cottage is under construction on weekdays and, very rarely, an occasional Saturday. While most people are not bothered, some find it not to their liking. Please realize this is not our property and we are not able to control the activities. We are not able to offer discounted rates.

Tyee is a Chinook Jargon word for chief, boss, leader or anything superior of its kind. An example of its use is tyee sammon, which means King Salmon. Chinook Jargon was a shorthand language used between Native American tribes on the Northwest Coast and later by the Europeans who traded with them.

Tyee Cottage is found in the shorepines. It has a view of the ocean from the spacious living room, and the sunny master bedroom on the second floor has a window seat where you can curl up and watch the waves roll in.
